1. Pressure swing adsorption of PSA for nitrogen production

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a nitrogen equipment designed and manufactured by pressure swing adsorption technology with clean compressed air as raw material and physical method. Nitrogen making machine uses imported carbon molecular sieve (CMS) as adsorbent and adopts pressure swing adsorption principle at room temperature to separate air to produce nitrogen with different purity. 2. Principle of PSA

C molecular sieves can absorb both oxygen and nitrogen in air at the same time, and their adsorption capacity increases with the increase of pressure, and there is no significant difference in the equilibrium adsorption capacity of oxygen and nitrogen at the same pressure. Therefore, it is difficult to separate oxygen and nitrogen effectively only depending on the change of pressure. If the adsorption rate is further considered, the adsorption characteristics of oxygen and nitrogen can be effectively distinguished. The diameter of oxygen molecule is smaller than that of nitrogen molecule, so the diffusion rate is hundreds of times faster than that of nitrogen. Therefore, the adsorption rate of carbon molecular sieve for oxygen is very fast, reaching more than 90% in about 1 minute. At this time, the adsorption capacity of nitrogen is only about 5%, and the content of oxygen and nitrogen in the air is 21% and 78%, respectively. The remaining nitrogen molecules are enriched at one end of the adsorber to form the product nitrogen into the nitrogen process buffer tank.
